Mikee Huber of Mikee Arts & Photography is accomplished in her profession, having been shown in thirteen awards shows in the greater Dayton area since 2005, earning several honorable mentions, finalist positions, and even 2nd place in the National Square Foot Exhibit.
Her style is very decorative and polished, but fun and funky as well. Unafraid of color, she fills her canvases with ripples of warm and lively hues. Fearlessly experimenting in the abstract, Huber creates exotic ink blots that will have your imagination soaring, picking out shapes here and there as if you were cloud watching. Inspired by science itself as well as hiking, certain works resemble a slice of cells under a microscope, while others look like the intricacies of a tree’s bark. One especially reminds me of red-hot lava cooling to ashen stone.
Any one of her pieces would make an excellent addition to one’s home décor, providing both an elegant yet refreshing work of art as well as an entertaining conversation piece.
